The tour began in the Western Wall Plaza, a relatively green venue when compared with the other city walls. Participants walked on the Mount and talked about the plants, trees and flowers that grow in this holy complex. And during the tour they encountered different type of plants, shrubs and trees including: Ephedra campilopoda, Golden Henbane, Prickly Lettuce, Golden Drop, Asteraceae, Horsetail Knotweed and others.

Dr. Ori Fragman-Sapir is the Head Scientist at the Jerusalem Botanical Garden, Givat Ram, Jerusalem. He also directed, for many years, the research of rare plants on behalf of Rotem—Israel Plants Information Center and is a member of the research team and teaching staff of the Hebrew University Botanical Gardens.
